This sorting system is primarily comprised of narrow belt carts, drive mechanisms, structural frames, recognition systems, and communication interfaces. A series of narrow belt carts are linked together to create an extended sorting line. The mainline conveyor speed can reach 2.5 meters per second, achieving a sorting capacity of up to 8000 items per hour. Narrow belt sorters are commonly utilized in diverse settings, such as postal services, e-commerce logistics, and supermarket distribution centers.

Powered by linear motors, the mainline of the narrow belt sorter drives carts equipped with electric drum motors, with power delivered through sliding contacts and communication via infrared wireless technology. Sorting commands are transmitted from the infrared transceiver controller at the chute to the electric drum motor driver on the cart, which then actuates the cart belt for sorting.
