The Realkey Cross Belt Sorter is an innovative sorting system designed to efficiently manage a wide array of items, including parcels and cartons. This sophisticated technology integrates essential components such as tracks, carts, cart belts, recognition technologies, and communication systems.
Carts are arranged in a continuous chain along the track, moving parallel to form a mainline that intersects with the cart belts, hence the name "Cross Belt Sorter." Items can be loaded onto the cart belts either manually or automatically, and as the carts approach designated sorting stations, the control system engages the belts for accurate sorting.
Available in both circular and linear formats, these sorters are engineered for high throughput. Circular models can achieve speeds of up to 2 meters per second, allowing for the processing of approximately 22,000 items per hour. In contrast, linear models operate at speeds of up to 1.5 meters per second and can handle up to 8,000 items per hour.
